Host a Ride

If you are looking for a little extra money for your club, cause, organization or yourself, and want to play a bigger role in stopping the neglect and starvation of thousands of horses right here in America....then we have the perfect thing for you....become an ACTHA Affiliate!

To host a ride, simply click here to submit a Promise Letter. This is a non-legally binding letter that spells out clearly our handshake agreement of what we will do for each other for the greater good.

An ACTHA affiliate is someone who will be hosting a ride under the rules and regulations of ACTHA. ACTHA has a set of guidelines for every aspect of the ride including obstacles, how to judge the obstacles, how to select the judges, and much, much more.

Hosting a ride is really a lot of fun (and yes, work also)! You will get to network with horse lovers just like yourself, you’ll be assisting the proliferation of this new exciting sport across the nation and most importantly, help with the cause of the humane treatment of horses...all the while making money for you and/or your organization!!

So, thinking about becoming an affiliate?

Here's what you need:

A love of trail riding
At least 6 miles of trail
Enough area to park 20-25 trailers
Helpers to help with marketing and organizing your ride (including someone with decent computer skills)

Here's what ACTHA will provide:

* Access to the affiliate portion of ACTHA's incredibly comprehensive website which supplies all the tools you will need to host a successful, fun and safe ride.

* While competitors use the website to sign up and pay for their rides, the affiliate is able to check on rider sign-ups in real time, print the ride roster and judges' score cards, enter the scores and print the winners page and spreadsheet of all participants, and much, much, more.

* Marketing assistance. ACTHA will support all rides via our extensive email lists and a national advertising campaign. ACTHA is on RFD-TV an average of more than 1 hour per month! Much of the air time is advertising where your ride scrolls in front of millions of viewers every day! Add to that publications, editorials, and a very extensive list of members and known trail riders. It seems like an overkill...but it's not! (It's your local efforts that will fill up the ride!)
* An affiliate manual explaining how to run the CTC in every detail.
* A 'JUDGES AREA' educating each judge on how to judge a CTC.
* A Ride Day video giving snippets of an actual CTC ride.
* Tutorial sessions educating you about hosting a CTC with ACTHA and how to use the website in managing your ride.

* ACTHA management will be on call the entire day on your first ride for any last minute assistance you may need.

* Gift for your volunteers, with the help of our generous sponsors!
