World Renowned Trail Ride Critic Dutch Henry`s Ride Proclamation for-

Teens and Oregon Mustangs CTC - Yamhill, OR - 8-7 & 8 - 2010

Howdy Folks,

Erica Fitzgerald and their crew are invitin` everybody to the Flying M Ranch for a weekend of family fun, packed plum full of campin`, ridin`, challenges and winnin`. Yes sir they`re puttin` on TWO, ACTHA sanctioned CTCs, Back-to-Back! That`s right two of those casual competitions that are fun for everybody who can sit a horse; six mile casual trail rides with a natural obstacle about every mile so judges can keep score and hand out ACTHA Bucks, prizes and awards at lunch. These are casual competitions perfect for all levels of riders! If you trail ride…You can compete!

If you`ve ever been to the Flying M Ranch you know about the wonderful private campsites, great scenic trails and wide open spaces. If not, this is a humdinger of a time to check it out – Erica has reserved all the campsites for this weekend`s shindig! So just go to www.flying-m-ranch.com and reserve your campsite – there`s plenty of Cowboy Campin` for everybody and all the campsites are beautiful!

You can set up camp Friday night and visit with friends and family on your own, but don`t stay up too late. The Pot Rustlers will be servin` coffee, flapjacks and sausages at 8a.m. sharp – Ride briefing at 9a.m. – Ride out at 10:00. (Times are the same both Saturday and Sunday). Pat has mapped out trails through the majestic hardwoods, meadows and streams that showcase the beauty of the Flying M. Take your time to enjoy the scenery, your horse and your friends as you tackle the ACTHA obstacles.

After the ride, tend your horse then grab your eatin` irons and mosey to the Pot Rustlers and have some hotdogs while the judges peruse the score sheets to decide who wins all the ACTHA Bucks, prizes and awards. Speakin` of prizes – the high point combined scores from both rides in each division will win special prizes!

Folks this event is a fund raiser for Teens and Oregon Mustangs, founded in 2009 by a group of horse lovers, with the goal to help BLM Oregon Mustangs be adopted and to provide youth opportunities for competition and learning. In its first year 15 youth participated, all the yearlings were tamed – And adopted. As a special treat for this weekend several current youth trainers will be showing their stuff by putting on demonstrations with their yearling Mustangs during and after the awards lunch.

There you have it, not only can you have a swell time testing your horse communicatin` skills and enjoyin` a top-shelf outfit like the Flying M, but you can help a worthy organization raise a few dollars. By golly, they`ve even started a scholarship program this year! Call your friends and help make this weekend a grand success!

For all the finer details of this event Call Margaret McGovern at 503-857-3073. And go to www.actha.us to sign on for the ride.

Gitty Up!
