In support of Mustang Heritage Foundation`s mission to increase the number of adoptions of American Mustangs, ACTHA has selected the Mustang Heritage Foundation as its main beneficiary for the 2011 Guinness™ World Record Ride.

Join us for a beautiful, scenic ride in the hills of Yerington. Rancho Rico is 100 acres of rolling hills, meandering creeks & rivers, historic mine shafts and yes WILD MUSTANGS roaming free! You`ll ride on & off the ranch into BLM country.

We`ll enjoy gourmet outdoor cooking at it`s best for breakfast & lunch while overlooking the river. Explore the Saloon & Teepee erected on the ranch!

Agenda:

Check-in: Friday evening or Sat morning before 8:30

Breakfast: 8:00am

Rider`s briefing: 9:00am

Ride out: 10:00am - 11:00am

Trail time: about 2 - 2 ½ hours, 6-7 miles

Lunch: following the ride

Awards: following meal


Menu:

Breakfast: Coffee, juice, muffins, danishes, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage

Lunch: BBQ tri-tip, potato salad, ranch beans, rolls, sodas, etc.

Ride Information:

Entries limited to first 100. Great prizes for 1st - 6th place Open/Pleasure/Junior divisions. Voluntary $20 jackpot for open & pleasure division at check-in. Open, pleasure, junior, and buddy divisions. See the FAQ page for questions regarding the divisions.


Fees payable online:

• CTC entry fee - $58 pleasure/$58 open/$25 junior/$40 Adult buddy

• New membership fee - $35 individual; $50 family of 2; $85 family of 4; additional horse - $10 ea.; additional rider - $10 ea.


Fees collected at check-in ( ie. meals, electrical hook ups and stall fees):

• Breakfast - $3 Lunch - $5

• Camping - no charge

Directions:

Important: Google Maps, Map Quest and Yahoo Maps will tell you to turn on West Minister Rd., however, that is now blocked. Turn on East Walker Road, which is the next turn.

Directions from Sacramento

  • From Hwy 50 East take Hwy 89 East to Hwy 88 East
  • Turn right at US-395 S.
  • Go left at 208 East towards Yerington. You will go through the towns of Wellington and Smith, then through a pretty canyon.
  • Stay right on 208 E. at fork towards Yerington.
  • Go about 5 miles to East Walker Road. Go right. (If you hit Yerington, you have gone too far).
  • Travel about 7 miles down East Walker Road to 156 East Walker Road.

Directions from Reno NV

  • 80 E. towards Fernley
    95 S. into Yerington
    Turn right on 208 W.
    Left on East Walker Road
    Travel about 7 miles down East Walker Road to 156 East Walker Road.
