World Renowned Trail Ride Critic Dutch Henry`s Ride Proclamation for-

Autry Ride - Autry Museum Griffith Park - Los Angeles CA - 4-10-2010

Howdy Folks,

Judy Walker is puttin` on a Celebrity Challenge on Horseback at the Autry Museum and by golly this ho-down`s gonna have more excitement than a run-away stagecoach! This ain`t about to be just any ordinary day in the saddle - Heck no. I`m talkin` about a ride startin` at the Museum and headin` out on the trail to tackle a few obstacles, and ridin` along stirrup to stirrup with a Celebrity or three.

Now what`s goin` on here is the first American Competitive Trail Horse Association sanctioned ride in these parts. ACTHA sanctions Competitive Trail Challenges all across the USA - easy going six to ten mile rides with a few obstacles mixed in to test your horse communicatin` skills. Riders and horses are judged as they tackle each obstacle. You can win fistfuls of ACTHA Bucks and other first-rate prizes on ride day - And pile up ACTHA points for you and your horse toward, Year End National and Regional Awards and cash! With over 300 ACTHA rides planned for 2010, point buildin` will be a cinch! Check out ACTHA at www.actha.us to learn more - like the fact that this year ACTHA has donated over $100,000 to horse rescues and charities!

The staging area is on the Autry Museum Grounds with plenty of parking next to the museum. The Los Angeles Mounted Police and Cadets will be on hand to help with directing traffic and other important duties. Plan on arriving Saturday by 8am so you`ll have time to visit the Museum Café before Ride Briefing at 9. Ride out at 10.

Judy`s laid out a course, complete with six obstacles, on the Skyline loop circling the Los Angeles Zoo with breathtaking views of the San Bernardino Mountains. As you ride along takin` in those sights, and takin` on those obstacles, keep an eye out for the photographer who`ll be happy to immortalize you in an action shot with the luminary of your choice!

After the ride, tend your horse, grab your eatin` irons, and hustle over to the Patio for lunch and rub elbows with all the Big Shots while you wait for the judges to announce the winners, scores and awards. A little braggin` about your horse is okay too.

Sorry we can`t tell you who the Big Shots are gonna be - TOP SECRET! The only way to find out who they are and to get photos and autographs with `em is to step up to the challenge!

So there you have it folks, I don`t reckon you can top a day ridin` with all sorts of VIPs, a political figure or two and a few Celebrities while you take in The Museum of the American West, The Los Angeles Zoo and the fabulous Griffith Park. Hot dang I figure that`s a whole lot of excitement for one day! Folks this gatherin` is a fundraiser for the Autry Museum, so tell all your friends to saddle up too.

Dust off your hat, brush your horse, load your rig, and cut a path for the Autry Museum!

For more info call Judy Walker at 818-551-1251.

Gitty Up!

Dutch Henry

The Autry Ride, which will begin with a breakfast on the plaza in front of the Museum of the American West, will take the Skyline loop through Griffith Park circling the Los Angeles Zoo with spectacular views of the San Fernando Valley and San Bernardino Mountains, plus the condor cages of the Zoo.
