By golly how many times do you get to be part of a big deal? I mean a really big, wonderful deal. Not too often, I reckon! Well hot dang here`s your chance! In keeping with ACTHA`s mission to raise much needed funds for Horse Rescues and Charities, thousands of riders all across the USA will be steppin` into their stirrups on the same exact day to ride in ACTHA sanctioned Competitive Trail Challenges.

Never before has such a group of top-shelf and generous sponsors, organizations and riders come together for such worthwhile cause. Sadly never before has there been so great a need. We at ACTHA know how much the noble horse means to each of you – How much the gallant horse has given to shape the world! Let`s rally together and offer a token of thanks!

Particulars for Little Valley Ride:

Be prepared to have a fabulous time riding, eating, competing in a casual manner, singing (if you are so inclined!), and winning lots of prizes--truly there are prizes galore, both from national and local sponsors!

Check-in Saturday or Sunday morning before 8:00 a.m.

SATURDAY`S AGENDA:

In the afternoon we will have a fun obstacle course set up in the huge outdoor arena.

*SATURDAY EVENING: Special Event! Chuckwagon Supper Show! The spirit of the Old West comes alive in Little Valley, N.Y. with a Chuckwagon Supper and Western Show. Experience real western hospitality on a working horse ranch, with an evening of family entertainment you`ll never forget. Come enjoy a rib stickin` old style western meal followed by a western music family entertainment show! (Details of meal coming real soon.)

Price: $25.00 includes dinner and show

Kids under 8: Free roast beef dinner with a paying adult.

SUNDAY`S AGENDA

Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. Change in plans. My cook will be haying! Don`t worry. I`ll have something, even if it`s cereal, milk, and--of course, coffee!

Riders` briefing: 9:00 a.m.

Ride out: 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. You pick a departure time so riders are spaced out.

Trail will take about 2 - 2 ½ hours, 6-7 miles, 6 judged obstacles. Three divisions. A very generous number of prizes!

Lunch following the ride --There`s a place nearby that you can ride your horse to and tie him outside the restaurant. We have a kitchen and clubhouse, and I`m looking for someone to cook up some hotdogs, etc.

After the ride we will have a low-key (pun kind of intended!) western singing competition, and /or a horse&rider "join up" event (email me for more info!), and/or the ever-popular boot race. What we offer will depend on what you want! Email me with suggestions, please.

Awards following lunch

Photographer:

A photographer will be at the ride to take everyone`s pictures on trail. You may make arrangements to purchase pictures from that person.

• Entries limited to first 100.
• Great prizes for 1st - 6th place Open/Pleasure/Junior divisions. Other prizes too!
• There is also a buddy division. See the FAQ page for questions regarding the divisions.

Fees payable online at actha.us:

• CTC entry fee - $58 pleasure/$58 open/$43 junior/$40 Adult buddy/$35 junior buddy
• New actha membership fee - $25 individual; $40 family of 2; $75 family of 4; additional horse - $10 ea.; additional rider - $10 ea.

Fees collected at check-in: meals, electrical hook ups and stall fees

Electrical Hook Up: $20 per day--First come, first served.

Tie Stalls: $__10__ per horse/night (Only 7 available).

Additional contests may include:

Best dressed male/female Sportsmanship

Best groomed horse Best vocal rendition of "Happy Trails to You!"
