World Renowned Trail Ride Critic Dutch Henry`s Ride Proclamation for-

Spruce Hill Ranch CTC - Colorado Springs CO - 7-17-2010

Howdy Folks,

Brent Winston and the fine folks at Spruce Hill Ranch are invitin` everybody to the ranch for a day of ridin`, eatin`, challengin`, and winnin`! They`re puttin` on their first American Competitive Trial Horse Association (ACTHA) Competitive Trail Challenge (CTC). If you`ve never been to one – this is a perfect place to start. This is a casual competition perfect for all levels of riders! If you trail ride…You can compete!

The Latigo Grill folks will be servin` up breakfast vittles Saturday at the chuck wagon at 8a.m. Ride briefing at 9:00 – Ride out at 10:00. Brent has mapped out a six mile course that displays the beauty of Spruce Hill Ranch as you ride in the shade of majestic Ponderosa Pines across the meadow and splash through a few creek crossings.

When you ride into to camp, tend your horse, grab your eatin` irons and head for the chuck wagon for another helpin` of Latigo Grill groceries. While the judges tally the score sheets Brent, who considers himself a legend in his own mind, will entertain you with Cowboy Poetry. I hear (from Brent) that he`s darn good! Then it`ll be time for him to hand out piles of prizes and awards. And be sure to wear your finest duds for this shindig because they`ve got special prizes for the `Most Authentic Cowgirl and Cowboy` outfits!

Speakin` of prizes, this affaire has got to win an award for the most unique prizes! First place Open Division horse and rider team wins a pick upload of good hay! Holy cow! Brent says there`s a load of firewood up for grabs, too! And you folks know all about your Colorado winters! Oh yea the first 15 riders to sign up get entered into a drawing to win a free lesson with Brent on General Horsemanship. That`s worth the price of admission right there!

Folks this get-together is a fundraiser for the Spruce Hill Ranch Christian Academy. The Academy is a K-12 Ag based Christian education with focus on God`s work. Some of the parents and kids will be volunteerin` to make this event run smooth so call all your friends and gather at Spruce Hill Ranch for a day of challangin` fun!

For more info call Brent Winston at 719-314-6237.
