World Renowned Trail Ride Critic Dutch Henry`s Ride Proclamation for-
Horses, Hope & Healing CTC at Sacramento Horseman`s Association CA 7-10-2010
Howdy Folks,
Tiffany Oreglia and volunteers from Horses, Hope and Healing are inviting you to an all day affair at the beautiful Sacramento Horseman`s Association grounds. They`re hostin` their second ACTHA sanctioned Competitive Trail Challenge, you know an easy goin` six mile ride with six obstacles tossed in to test your horse comunicatin` skills. With judges watchin` and keepin` score.
The fun starts Saturday morning at 8a.m. when the Pot Rustlers will be servin` breakfast burritos, salsa and drinks. Ride briefing at 9a.m. – Ride out at 10:00. The Sacramento Horseman`s Association is a little bit of country located smack in the middle of the city. When you`re riddin` the trails here under the shade of the old trees you`ll think you in the cool mountains. Enjoy the ride with your friends and family, even if you`d rather not tackle the obstacles, be a buddy rider and just ride the shady trails. And remember to smile pretty for Tiffany, she`ll be snappin` shutters on the trail, and you can buy those tin types!
After the ride, tend your horse then grab your eatin` irons and head over to the chow line where Pot Rustlers, Pam and Alan Jennings will be shovelin` up king size portions of their secret BBQ. As Tiffany says, "They make a killer BBQ." While you enjoy the BBQ and brag about how well your horse covered for you the judges will be addin` up the score sheets and handin` out piles of awards and prizes. Speakin` of prizes high point earners in each division win Silver Buckles from Skyline Gold and Silversmith! Holy Cow! There will also be special Prizes for Best Dressed Gal and Guy, and Best Groomed Horse, too!
Don`t hurry home after the Awards because Tiffany has a country band comin` to play as long as you all want to hoot-an-holler, and dance, visit or just tap your toe! By golly I reckon this`ll be a terrific day!
But hold on, there`s more! Folks this entire event is a fundraiser for Horses, Hope & Healing, a non profit organization founded by Tiffany and a few friends to not only rescue, shelter and nurture homeless and needy horse – but to create an outreach for At Risk, and inner city youth. You see Tiffany knows that horses are like angels and can teach kids so much. She has also proven that kids helping to heal horses, also heal themselves. They have after school work exchange programs where the children exchange farm chores for riding lessons and showing experience. The students must maintain a certain grade average to be allowed to show. For those needing extra help they offer personal tutoring – But folks this all costs money, so call all your friends to join you for a day at the Sacramento Horseman`s Association ridin` and visitin` – And be sure to buy a fist full of raffle tickets and be generous with your bids at the silent auction!
Some of the kids will be competing here, others volunteering, take a second and tell `em they`re doin` a good job.
Please call Tiffany Oreglia for more information at 916-880-8329 email [email protected] – A lot of kids and horses are countin` on you!
Gitty Up!
