World Renowned Trail Ride Critic Dutch Henry`s Ride Proclamation for-
Horse Tenders Competitive Trail Ride – Greenfield NH – 6-27-2010
Howdy Folks,
By golly some outfits just know how to throw a top-shelf get together – Stephanie and Andrej Kokal and the gang at The Kokal Farm fit in that category! Yes sir they`re bringin` ACTHA to the forests of New Hampshire. Don`t miss this chance to take a challenge and win some great prizes while you`re having fun with your horse and friends!
Roll in Saturday afternoon, set up Cowboy Camp then mosey over to the Skookum Lodge and join in a Pot-Luck get-ta-know-ya visitin` jamboree. Enjoy a dip in the swimmin` hole or just relax with your friends around the campfire `till bedtime. If you have a guitar, fiddle, or piano bring it and help make some music! The Pot Rustlers will be servin` burnt coffee and Burritos Sunday at 8AM. Ride briefing at 9AM. Ride out at 10:00. Enjoy an easy pace on the trail while you and your horse tackle the obstacles, take in the scenery and chat with your friends as you go along. After the ride, tend your horse and hustle back to Skookum Lodge for some more grub, and brag about how your horse covered for you on the challenge, while you wait for the judges to hand out prizes and awards – As if all that ain`t enough, you can also expect three trail proven and nationally accomplished Mustang Trainers to be offerin` a chance to meet some true American Mustang legends. I`ve been told that if you mosey up to the trainers and smile pretty, they may even put on a demonstration!
In addition to Prizes for the top winners in each division, the lowest scoring rider in each division will win a free HorseTenders Foundation Clinic Session! It`ll be handy to get a few tips from the pros because you`ll be comin` back in August for their next ACTHA - CTC. Hot Dang!
The Kokal Farm is home to HorseTenders LLC – A family operated business that promotes strong core values and the true spirit of the horse. They have created unique and nationally recognized training approaches to naturally train both horse and owner. They pride themselves on…Developing Mettle without Metal™. Visit their website www.horsetenders.com to learn about the Horse Tenders Mustang Project, Natural Horsemanship, Equine Massage, Custom Saddles and much more!
By golly this would be a great time to meet the folks behind the operation of the Kokal outfit, win some terrific prizes, and have fun with friends and family! --
Gitty Up!

This ride is located in southern New Hampshire in the village of Greenfield. Northern New England is famous for it`s dense forests, small rural farms, and mountain views. The ride will be on a 200 acre private farm owned by the Kokal Family and adjacent trails. The Kokal Family own and operate HorseTenders LLC and are known in the area as the premiere Mustang and trail horse trainers of New England. The Kokal Farm is surrounded by hundreds of acres trails and class 6 roads. The trails offer many miles of varied terrain on private grounds with no need for shoes. We have rough primitive camping space available where rider`s personal portable paddocks or picket lines are welcome. Also available 5 indoor and 5 outdoor stalls for $10 ea. / night (reserve early to ensure availability) We have a nice swimming hole for horse lovers and a separate one for horses. All meals are served in a rustic covered pavilion area.
Ride will be held during all types of rain, heck it may even snow! Come prepared. We are of hearty stock here in New Hampshire, after all it seems to rain all summer, especially when we are trying to HAY our fields. We will delay the start of the ride for lightening, but that is about the only exception.
For those that would like to arrive on Saturday afternoon, check in anytime after 2pm, plan on spending the evening sharing a pot luck meal around 7 PM and then sitting around the campfire! With any luck, we may be able to talk our resident guitar and fiddle players to strike up a few tunes. They`re hoping others may join in......so don`t forget to bring along those guitars, harmonicas and the like! HorseTenders......we Tend to Horse around!
Upon completion of the Competitive Trail Ride, we will also have a Mustang clinic put on by our three experienced Mustang Trainers and highly successful competitors in the 2008 & 2009 Extreme Mustang Makeover National Competitions held in the Will Rogers Equestrian Center in Ft. Worth, TX. It will be a unique opportunity to witness the magic of the unique and nationally recognized HorseTenders LLC "Metal without Metal"tm training and to learn more about the HorseTenders Mustang Project. See our website for additional information.
The ride closes 3 days before the ride and is limited to 100 riders. Refunds, minus a $15 fee, will be given up to one week before the ride, arrangements must be made with Stephanie 603-547-2767. There are prizes for the first 10 riders signed up before May15.
Greenfield State Park is 2 miles from the farm. It provides camping with hook ups and facilities, but does not allow horses. There are also several quaint Inns in the area for those wanting to take in the antiquity of this beautiful region.
