In the summer of 1862, the Yellow Medicine Agency was destroyed during the U.S. - Dakota conflict. Today, the Upper Sioux Agency State Park exists to preserve the historic agency site and to provide recreational opportunities in the scenic Minnesota River Valley. The trail we follow will take us by this historic site. The landscape of the park is diverse with grasslands, wetlands, woods, river and meadows. There ar 5 electrical hook-ups available and 45 other camping sites. Contack the park reservation service online or by phone to reserve a site. there are some first come first serve sites available also.
Besides the ACTHA donations for abused horses, some of the proceeds from this ride will also be donated to St. Jude`s Childrens Hospital and the Brown County Humane Society.
