World Renowned Trail Ride Critic Dutch Henry`s Ride Proclamation for-
Sundance Ranch Ride CTC - Manvel TX - 6-19-2010
Howdy Folks,
We are going to try something a little different this time. After speaking with our contestants, we have decided to try an EVENING RIDE. We will host a obstacle clinic in the am with a late morning swim in our horse friendly tank, along with various other obstacles and then have the ride pull out with our first start time at 6pm. it will cool down as you ride!!!!
By golly here`s an event you sure don`t want to miss! Dorothy Wynne and the Sundance Ranch are pullin` up all the stops to put on one heck of an American Competitive Trail Horse Association, Competitive Trail Challenge.
Ride the Chocolate Bayou among massive Live Oaks, mesquite and Ash as you test your own and your horse`s skills in negotiating ACTHA trail obstacles - Read all about ACTHA at www.actha.us - Like how they gave $100,000 to horse charities and rescues this year! Be sure to watch the videos too.
Roll in Friday afternoon and set up Cowboy Camp in the pasture. Dorothy promises to do her best to keep the bulls out of the camp area. Dinner will be available for anybody with an empty gullet. Breakfast will be available, and be ready for a horse obstacle clinic which will include swimming in our horse frienndly tank as early as 8, then lunch will be served for those who are famished. Take a little break from the sun under our big oaks, ride briefing at 5pm, ride out at 6pm. We will be back in camp by 9 with dinner served up and then awards.
Be sure to look your best on the trail, a photographer will be snappin` shutters and you can buy those Tin Types after dinner. Also wear your ridin` finest and don`t spare the Show Sheen because there`ll be prizes for the best dressed Gal and Guy, and best groomed horse.
Several of the horses ridden by the team are rescue horses from Blue Bonnet Horse Rescue, a benefactor of this ride and whose hard workin` volunteers are helpin` tirelessly to make this CTC run smoothly. Check them on the web at www.bluebonnetequine.org
We are having a raffle item from our local Rustic Furniture Store "MANVEL MATRESS". THEY HAVE DONATED A WONDERFUL PIECE FOR YOU TO WIN.
And there is no need to break camp Saturday night, you`re welcome to stay and ride on your own Sunday.
Call Dorothy Wynne for more info about this ride- 281-585-8145.
Gather your gear, brush your horse, load your rig, and head out for Sundance Ranch for a humdinger of a time. Don`t forget to tell your friends!
Gitty Up!
Dutch Henry
