"Eisenhower State Park CTC"Come join us for a ride at Eisenhower State Park located on the eastern fringe of the Flint Hills in South Osage County. This is the first ACTHA ride in Kansas!

After the competition, there is still more miles of trail riding to do at your option! Practice what you learned!
Beautiful timber, grasslandabound and edges Melvern Reservoir. This is also a wildelife refuge...no telling what you`ll see!
Eisenhower State Park is continually upgrading with the latest being the expansion of the trails system. The Crooked Knee horse trails spans 20 miles throughout the park.
Rider`s briefing: 9:30am
Ride out: 10:00am - 11:00am
Trail will take about 2 - 2 1/2 hours, 6-7 miles
Awards following ride
There will be breakfast and lunch concessions
Entries limited to first 100.
$525 in cash awards & great prizes for 1st - 6th place.
Open, pleasure, junior, and buddy divisions. See the FAQ page for questions regarding the divisions.
Fees payable online:
CTC entry fee - $53 pleasure/$78 open/$43 junior/$40 Adult buddy/$35 junior buddy
New membership fee - $25 individual $40 family of 2
Camping Fees collected at gate:
Vehicle permit - $4.20
Cowboy Camp - $8.50 per night (No electricity or water) Has tie out posts for horses. Closest restrooms are at the boat ramp. Vehicle plus Cowboy camp - total fees - $12.70 per night
Westpoint camp - $20.00 (Electricity, water, restrooms, corrals) Vehicle plus Westpoint camp - totals fees - $24.20 per night Westpoint has fifteen camp sites available. They can be reserved in advanced, otherwise first come first served.
Additional "optional" contests will be:
Best Dog ($5 at check-in)
Best dressed male/female
Best groomed horse
Directions: From I35 Highway, turn North on Highway 75 to HWY 278, turn west on Hwy 278 and go 3 miles to entrance of Eisenhower State Park. Turn left into park and follow on in to get parking permists, camping permits, etc. Go past booth to T and turn right and follow to Crooked Knee. Will have signs.
Registration for this ride will close ____09-10-2009_________(2 days before the ride date).
Your credit cards will not be charged until this date in case of unforeseen weather etc.

This is a “Casual Competition”, not a race or timed event. The trail can be completed liesurely with plenty of time to smell the roses and visit with friends.
And remember up to 50% of ACTHA proceeds go to Horse Charities in your state. Heaven knows they need the help!
