Round up the season with a Long Weekend trip to Fort Assiniboine. Book your stay at the Horse Creek Ranch and enjoy a Fun Trail Competition on Sunday September 6 and don't forget to enter you and your horse for the Fun Trail Ride Competition on Saturday September 5.
Ride along in the Sundhills from Fort Assiniboine. The trails are mostly sand.
Important: If you're looking to stay at the Horse Creek Ranch, please book early. September Long Weekend, is a busy weekend.

From Barrhead: Grizzly Trail/AB-33 S, Turn right at the 1st cross street onto 49 St/Grizzly Trail/AB-18 E/AB-33 N, Turn left onto Grizzly Trail/AB-33N (signs for Swan Hills), Turn onto AB-661 N (signs for Alberta 661N / Fort Assiniboine.
From Whitecourt, AB: Hwy 43 S, Turn left onto AB 658 N, Turn right onto Grizzly Trail/AB-33 S, Continue straight onto AB-661N, signs for Fort Assiniboine
From Mayerthorpe: Head west on 48 Ave torward 51 St, take AB 18E to Range Rd 43 in Barrhead county NO.11, Continue on Range Rd 43 to Grizzly Trail/AB-33 N, Turn left onto Range Rd 43, Turn right onto Township Rd 600, Township Rd 600 turns slightly left and becomes Range Rd 42, Turn left onto Grizzly Trail / AB-33 N, Turn right onto AB 661 N, Signs for Alberta 661 N/Fort Assiniboine
